Today (09/10/24) we were joined in the studio by Robert and Mary Bailey for the Mark Truman Show. What a great time we all had. They were greeted by Steve the Manager and joined in the show with Mark and Steve, Rob and Mary live in County Mayo in the west of Ireland.
Rob and Mark grew up in the same street in Tavistock and have known each other for 65 years, they even have the same birthday, and they both got married on the same day, Roberts wife Mary originally came from the far north of Germany.
This is the second time they have been into see us, and it was a pleasure to see them again. Mark even got Mary to introduce a record in German, and as we have German listeners it was a great thing for her to do. They are both avid fans of FCR and tune in every day. Steve packed them off with a few goodies to take back home, so all in all we had a great day and look forward to seeing them again in the future.

Here is a selection of photos taken at our outside broadcast in Launceston, Cornwall, UK. Yes folks, we had a right giggle doing this over two days, Steve, Sue, Mark and Tina stayed in the rather posh golf club for the night, all in all, the weekend was a great success for all the team at FCR, we had a good boot sale as well as broadcasting the show all over the world, lots of happy people at the show, and lots of requests for Pink Floyd, much to the annoyance of Steve the Manager as he hates Pink Floyd, but it made Mark very happy indeed.
